Texas Power Agents
Texas Power Agents began with our first residential customer in April 2017. We have been fortunate to grow over these seven years to serve many residential, commercial and cryptocurrency customers. Much of our growth is due to referrals, which we consider to be the highest compliment. Whether you have been with us from the very beginning, or have recently joined our team, we want provide a brief review of how Texas Power Agents fits into the Texas electricity market.
Texas Deregulation
When Texas became deregulated, it separated the delivery of electricity (utilities) from the sale of electricity (retail electricity providers). Texas Power Agents operates as a broker and aggregator in the market. We saw a need to assist consumers by navigating the confusing electricity market and managing their retail contracts.
Who to Contact for Common Questions
Retail electricity providers, utilities and brokers are separate entities and operate independently from one another. The only exchange of information from one to another regarding your electricity service, is usage from the utility reading your meter to the provider in order to generate your bill. We want to make sure you know who to contact for common questions.
Contact Texas Power Agents when:
You are moving. We will determine if you should request the contract be transferred or cancelled. If you don't inform us of your move, we won't be aware and will continue processing enrollments for the address you may no longer occupy.
You suspect an enrollment was not successful
The energy rate and/or contract end date is incorrect on a bill
You would like for us to manage an additional property (business or home)

You aren't sure who is your current provider. This can also be found in your Texas Power Agents Portal.
*What is an autopay customer? Some of Texas Power Agents' customers pay an additional service fee for us to set up their automatic payments with each electricity provider. This is an option available to any customer. Contact us if you would like more information.
