Regulated vs Deregulated

In 2002, most of the Texas energy industry was deregulated. Currently, about 85% of Texans have retail electricity choice. This means that consumers living in a deregulated area have access to a competitive market from which to buy electricity. If you live in an area that is not deregulated, this means you must use the local utility or co-op for your electricity service. Texas Power Agents is able to serve all consumers in deregulated areas of Texas.
